The preservation of trees, forests and wetlands and their importance to the health of the planet are a recent driving force behind the acrylic and watercolour paintings of Janet Hendershot.  She is currently working from photographs taken during excursions last summer and has now been awarded a residency at the Gladstone Hotel to realize the images in watercolour.
