2023 Members' Exhibition of Selected Works

OSA Western Hub Members Exhibition

149th Open Juried Exhibition

The Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) presents its 149th Open Juried Exhibition at the John B. Aird Gallery in Toronto. This annual exhibit of the OSA promotes art from both emerging and established Canadian artists, with originality, artistry in composition and design, and excellence and skill in the chosen medium being the applied criteria.

This year’s playful theme is Colour Splash! where we welcome spring with splashes of reviving and re-invigorating colour after the dormancy of winter. Colour touches our lives in so many ways. We communicate and make sense of the world with it. It invigorates, soothes and heals, and brings us joy. Many works in the show reflect colour’s role in healing both during and after the pandemic. Colour Splash! presents an uplifting, diverse look at colour’s expressive impact.

2023 Emerging Artist Juried Exhibition

150th Anniversary Exhibitions 2022

In 2022, the OSA held a province-wide schedule of 6 exhibitions and special projects for the 150th anniversary year. This  included shows in Brantford, North Bay, Orillia, Cobourg and Toronto.

Over the course of the year-long celebration, members were called upon to stretch themselves:

They studied the legacy of the Society going back to 1872 and presented an exhibition based on this research.

A curated exhibition reflected a landscape theme.

Sixteen members travelled to Northern Ontario to study the area,  producing an exhibition with dinner/opening and speaker.

Our final 150th members exhibition, hosted by The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Her Honour Elizabeth Dowdeswell hangs in the Lieutenant Governor Suites at Queen's Park in Toronto until mid 2023.
