Standing Up for the Alliston Aquifer
OSA members will gather in May 2025 to create art in the out-of-doors in Tiny Township near Midland. The art will bring attention to the ‘cleanest water in the world’ and the need to keep this precious resource free from impurities. Speakers will discuss threats to the purity of the water. Artists will also create various art forms in the forest and may explore the many natural resources in the area including birds, ocean and marshes. Exhibitions will include a digital display on the Canadian Water Museum site which is part of the international UNESCO-associated global water museums. https://www.canadianmuseumofwater.org/ Latitude Gallery 44 which successfully sold art in the OSA 2024 ‘Standing Up for White Bear’ exhibition will again show pieces from the event. The Society is also in discussion with other exciting venues. There are a variety of rooms available at the Quality Inn, Midland. Please contact Janet Hendershot (janet@ontariosocietyofartists.org) for more information. This initiative is open to members only and is another great reason to join the Ontario Society of Artists!
