Peter Dušek: N3XT National Art Competition

Peter Dušek, OSA has been juried into N3XT, the prestigious National Art Competition at the Arts & Letters Club in Toronto.

Cattails in Red, Lake of Bays, Ontario, Canada, 2020

His piece, “Cattails in Red”, 36 x 56 inches, hangs at the historic Arts and Letters Club of Toronto. The theme this year is Canadian Unity. Peter writes:

“A field of cattails in red meander along a snow-covered lake. A state of balance is formed between the negative space of the lake and the positive space of the cattails. Each cattail symbolizes an individual, and when considered as a whole, shows unity and strength that comes from people — Canadians — working together toward the same goal of fulfilled lives of balance and contentment.”

The N3XT exhibit will be held at the Arts & Letters Club from Thursday, December 19, 2020 to Wednesday, January 6, 2021. The winners of the exhibition will be announced on December 17, at an online virtual gala and awards presentation originating from the Arts & Letters Club.

The N3XT exhibition at the Arts & Letters Club will be accessible by appointment by limited groups after Toronto’s COVID-19 lockdown ends on December 19th. A virtual gallery of all N3XT finalists is hosted online.
