Great News from OSA Member Bob Tunnoch

Some exciting news from OSA member Bob Tunnoch:

Here are two paintings by Bob Tunnoch. The first one is called “Undercover, Amazon Horned Frog” oil on canvas 27″ x 35″. This painting won 1st award of excellence Best in Show from the SCA online international juried show. The second one was acquired by the Juno’s Art is Art for they’re permanent collection. It’s called “Species at Risk” oil on board 24″ x 30″.

If you are over 60 and have come to art later in life, read this!

We have received an intriguing message from OSA member Janice Mason Steeves:

If you are over 60 and have come to art later in life, I’d love to hear your story of that journey.

I’m an OSA member and I’m writing a book with the working title: IT’S ABOUT TIME: On Becoming an Artist Later in Life. I think it would be encouraging and inspiring to read about the journeys to art that others have taken.

Please email me at janicemasonsteeves@gmail.com if you are interested in responding to my interview questions. I very much appreciate your willingness to share your journey.

Many thanks,

Janice

Rob Niezen is having a Show in Coburg!

title image for show at Art Gallery of Northumberland 2019

Rob Niezen’s nocturnes show the dream world of our cities created by artificial lights. Rainy night reflections create bursts of colour, and reveal our theatrical surroundings. These paintings are a testament to the vibrancy of the city, and vary from broader contextual city views to close-ups that render more abstract compositions, as the artificial lights create magic on small and large scale.
