ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
This autumn, the Aird will celebrate finding a new location by offering a first CALL FOR ENTRY exhibition showcasing work by contemporary Canadian artists. The show will explore the theme of “cats” in their roles as domesticated animals and/or in their roles as mythic symbols of sexuality, divinity and magic.
Submission deadline: Saturday, August 24, 2019
The Cat Show invites entries of cat themed work of all kinds from artists at all stages of their careers.
Works in any medium will be considered, keeping in mind that dimensions can be no greater than 50.8 cm in any direction. This broad definition is intended to open the exhibition to entries reflecting a wide variety of contemporary techniques and practices.
