Margaret Stawicki, OSA Member: N3XT National Art Competition

I am very happy that jurors accepted my paintings, “Canadian Faces,” into such a prestigious N3XT Art Competition.
These portraits represent Canadians and many immigrants, including myself. We all come from different backgrounds and carry different psychological loads. In the series of four paintings I show close ups of different but, in a way, similar faces. Similar, as we are all Canadians. Different, as each has an individual personality. Each one wears a symbolic eye mask as a suggesting unity, but at the same time keeping their heritage.
