From SCOPO Magazine:
Hi, we’re launching an ad-free printed periodical called SCOPO Magazine that highlights the passionate and purposeful work being done by artists, organizations and leaders in our community. Our mandate is to elevate these change makers and give them a platform on which to tell their remarkable stories. This is a passion project for us and is not for profit.
We are currently holding an open call for submissions for the cover art of the inaugural issue of SCOPO. We kindly ask if we can submit our call for entries to you, to be shared with your audience. Thank you!
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Are you an artist or photographer in Toronto? We’re holding a contest for the cover art of SCOPO’s first issue and, we’re looking for you! Submissions can be in any medium, but they must convey the theme PRINT IS NOT DEAD.
What is SCOPO? SCOPO is a printed, full-colour, ad-free periodical that focuses on the good things going on in our city. SCOPO tells the stories of people, causes and artists in Toronto who are living their passions and their purpose every day, and giving back to their communities. SCOPO is purpose on paper.
Our first issue will be distributed across the city, and if you’re interested in being part of it, submit a PDF version of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, March 15, 2019. We will follow up with the winner and the runners-up directly. We can’t wait to hear from you!
First prize: your work featured as the covert art of SCOPO’s inaugural issue, an artist profile inside the front cover, and $300 cash. 10 runners-up will all have their work featured on the back cover. Everyone who submits their work will be named and credited in the first issue.
