Richard Rhodes is an author, arts journalist, curator, educator, photographer and editor. He is the former Director of Richard Rhodes Dupont Projects and was Editor of Canadian Art Magazine from 1996 through 2015. Rhodes has been Curator of the Power Plant in Toronto, Adjunct Curator at Oakville Galleries, founder of C Magazine, a review contributor to Artforum magazine in New York, an essayist on Vija Celmins for Artangel, London. As a curator he organized the 2010 Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art, and in 2003 received the Toronto Friends of the Visual Arts Achievement Award.
William Huffman is an arts administrator, curator, educator and writer with a history of extensive involvement on both local and international cultural fronts. He was Executive Director with Inuit Art Foundation, Coordinator of the Audience and Market Development Office at Canada Council for the Arts, Associate Director with Toronto Arts Council and Toronto Arts Foundation and has held other leadership positions at Blackwood Gallery, Arts Toronto, The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, A Space Gallery, Canadian Art Foundation and Art Gallery of Sudbury. Huffman is currently Marketing Manager at Dorset Fine Arts, a division of West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative and he serves as a member of the Curriculum Advisory Committee for Art & Art History, a joint program between Sheridan College and University of Toronto.
Janet Hendershot OSA, SCA. Ms. Hendershot has been painting since the late 1970s. Her work has been exhibited across Canada, Mexico, Colombia, London, England and Paris, France. Work can be found in many corporate, private and public collections. She has received many awards including the Gold Award at the NEXT1 competition, 2015, Arts and Letters Club, ON and the Eleanor Besen Award, 2017, OSA. Janet has served as President and Vice-President of the Ontario Society of Artists, and continues to be active in the art community as a participant of three art organization Boards of Directors.

Exhibition Terms & Conditions
Entries will be juried by JPEG images.
NOTE: Applications submitted that do not follow the format requested will unfortunately be rejected and the fee not refunded.
The competition is open to all professional artists. Artists may submit work in any two or three-dimensional media, with a maximum of two works submitted. Works previously exhibited at the John B. Aird Gallery or in other OSA juried shows are not eligible. Work must have been completed after 2015.
Presentation and Qualification
All works MUST be original art. Entries must not be copies or derivatives. All accepted two-dimensional works must be ready to hang. All three-dimensional works must be suitably prepared with supports, hanging devices, and if needed, instructions for installation. Each work must have identification attached to the back of it, stating the artist’s name, address, title of work, medium, size, year completed and price of work.
Two-dimensional work must not exceed 6 feet in width or 20 pounds. Three-dimensional works must be able to fit through a standard door. Video entries must display on your own equipment which must be on a monitor that can stand on a plinth.
A sales commission of 30% will be charged to OSA members.
A 40% commission will be charged to all non-members.
Works which are not for sale must be marked NFS in the entry with value stated for insurance purposes.
Transportation and Insurance
Delivery and pick-up of artwork is the sole responsibility of the artist. The artist must adhere to the schedule outlined here. Packing artwork for pick-up is the responsibility of the artist. No storage for art or packing materials are available at the gallery. The gallery will take reasonable care during the hanging, showing and take down of the exhibition. Exhibiting artists are responsible for insuring their own work and equipment.
Acceptances will be sent by email. NO RESULTS WILL BE GIVEN BY PHONE. Work selected for the exhibition must be as submitted for jurying, or it will be disqualified.
No entry may be removed from the exhibition until the final pick-up date. Each artist will be asked to sit in the gallery for a few hours, if possible, during the course of the exhibition.
Other Terms & Conditions
The decision of the jury is final. By submitting to this exhibition, you agree to allow reproduction of your digital files for educational, publicity and archival purposes, unless we are informed otherwise in writing. You agree to waive receiving any exhibition fees. You also give us permission to communicate with you via email about this and future events.
